Samsung Galaxy Note Arriving at Bell, TELUS and Rogers Stores, Launch Is Imminent
Although Samsung already introduced the Galaxy Note in North America, Android enthusiasts living in Canada have been left out for the moment.
However, this is about to change as major carriers TELUS, Bell and Rogers confirmed they would offer the Galaxy Note starting February 14.
Moreover, Rogers allowed customers to reserve their Galaxy Note devices, before the smartphone hits shelves tomorrow.
Customers who pre-ordered Rogers’ Galaxy Note using the carrier’s Online Reservation System have already started to receive their devices. Rogers is the only carrier that managed to send customers their Galaxy Note units ahead of the official launch on the market.
Today, the folks at MobileSyrup have been tipped on the fact that Samsung Galaxy Note stocks have started to arrive at various Canadian retail locations. Starting tomorrow, February 14, the smartphone will be available for purchase via Rogers, TELUS and Bell.
TELUS will have the most expensive no-term price for the Galaxy Note, as the carrier will offer the smartphone for no less than $779.99 (590 EUR).
Additional pricing options for TELUS Galaxy Note include the following: $729.99 (550 EUR) with a new 1-year term, and $679.99 (515 EUR) with a new 2-year agreement.
Rogers will offer the smartphone for $699.99 (530 EUR) off-contract or for $649.99 (490 EUR) on a 2-year term. Customers will also be able to purchase it for $599.99 (455 EUR) with a new two-year agreement.
Bell will sell the Samsung Galaxy Note for $729.95 (550 EUR) outright. All three carriers “have agreed” to offer the smartphone for as low as $199.99 (150 EUR) with a new three-year agreement.
Samsung Galaxy Note is a huge Android smartphone that comes with a 5.3-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen that supports 800 x 1280 pixels resolution. The handset is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and packs 16GB onboard memory, 1GB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).
